- Cook the edamame in boiling water for about 5 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside (you can pat dry a little, if desired).
- Toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan until golden and fragrant – set aside.
- Reduce the heat to low and then add the sesame oil. Wait a moment for the oil to heat a little, then add the ginger and garlic. Cook lightly, but without letting the oil get too hot – sesame oil has a low smoking point. If you’d like to good the garlic and ginger more, you can add canola oil to the pan. Turn off the heat, return the sesame seeds to the pan, add the cooked edamame and toss to coat.
