Ginger Snaps
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup melted butter or shortening
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 1/2 cups flour (or enough to make soft dough)
  1. Pinch off pieces the size of large marbles. Roll in a ball in your hands and place far apart on buttered tins.
  2. Cool batter and you’ll find it is much easier to handle.
